by Josef G. Lowder, just a friend of the Halls Three of the most memorable men I have ever known are presented on this website: My own dad, Josef Diamond, and Dwight Hall. Dwight's lovely wife Hope passed away a few years ago, and she was a wonderful Christian lady; but my closest acquaintance and friendship was with Dwight and I always considered him to be one of my very best and most highly treasured friends. Dwight is memorable for many, many reasons. His wonderful sense of humor and overall good nature and graciousness are so admirable, and perhaps they are the first things that anyone might notice. But even in a brief moment with Dwight, almost anyone would know, right away, that Dwight is a godly man who loves the Lord and whose life centers on his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Yet this never comes across as "holier-than-thou" or in a way that makes others uncomfortable. It just comes across in kindness and gentleness and joy and sincerity and deep feeling and caring for others ... and a heart of pure gold. I envision heaven as being a place full of people just like Dwight Hall. In his "retirement" years, Dwight has continued every bit as diligent and active in ministering to people, spreading good will and "The Good News" as during his career as a pastor in the Missionary Alliance Church. After so many years of preaching the Word, Dwight took up writing, editing, and updating books on faith that others had written, and writing new devotional messages and fascinating, touching accounts about people of faith as one of his main avenues of ministry. It will be thrilling, one day, to learn just how many people made it into heaven, not only because of Dwight's years of ministry as a preaching pastor, but also because of the many things that Dwight wrote during all of his so-called "retirement" years. Soon, I intend to add some of Dwight's own wonderfully inspiring writing here; but first, below is something that Hope wrote and Dwight assembled into a little tract that ... everyone should read and come to understand:
